About the assignment
For our Visual Radio broadcasts, we are looking for a freelance audio technician who can be deployed on a contract basis for specific broadcasts and projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the audio quality and technical support of our radio broadcasts and support the video components of Visual Radio.

What will you be doing?
– Sound: Monitoring and optimizing sound quality, loudness, and intelligibility during live broadcasts.
– Technical execution: Operating and setting up audio equipment during live broadcasts. Quickly detecting and resolving malfunctions during live broadcasts. For example, during our sports broadcasts in the evening or on weekends.
– Microphone and mixing management: Ensuring the correct placement, settings, and balance of microphones and other sound sources.
– Routing: Setting up and testing audio lines, both within the studio and on location.
– Livestream: Retrieving livestreams, such as contributions from reporters.
– Visual Radio management: Preparing video and photo material to support radio broadcasts. Adjusting design based on existing templates and manually operating the Visual Radio environment with Vmix in case of emergencies.
– Audio editing: Creating audio productions such as commercials, audioboards, and voice-track programs.
– Maintenance and management: Ensuring the operation and maintenance of audio equipment and advising on technical optimizations and maintenance of audio equipment.

Who are you?
– You have experience with audio technology in a live environment, preferably in a radio or television setting.
– You have knowledge of and experience with mixing consoles, audio processing, and digital audio routers.
– You have experience with video production, and Visual Radio software such as Vmix and Photoshop is a plus.
– You are stress-resistant and solution-oriented, especially in a live broadcasting environment.
– You work on a commission basis and are flexibly available for specific productions.
– You are a team player with good communication skills and an eye for detail.
